Developing a Symbiotic Software Foundation for Humanity and Computers -Renewal of industry, culture, and academics adapted to computer age–

Our daily lives and experiences are changing as data is flooding the world due to developing computer technologies. It is getting natural to live surrounded by computers and machines. For example, we communicate to each other using smartphones and VR devices, aim for destinations following GPS navigation systems, pass through ticket gates with IC cards, and clean home by robots. Such changes in human behavior is caused by not only digital data itself, but also media devices that connect the real world and the digital world. Behavior changes do not occur just by invention of media devices. In order to solve various social issues using such media devices, an incubation system that strengthens the symbiotic relationship between humans and computers is necessary in which technological innovation continues to occur, sprout, and grow up. Therefore, Pixie Dust Technologies (PxDT) builds a mechanism that is a symbiotic software platform for humans and computers, and promotes open innovation with local governments and business companies. In addition, we aim to link academic technologies with social issues/needs by collaborating with universities for value creation and social implementation continuously.
